Who doesn't enjoy visiting a nice wallow? Let's share some pics of these elk mud spas . This one is in a permit area in WA State. I probably won't ever see this one again as it's in a very tough to draw area.

Rory, that's a nice one! Here's an Idaho wallow a couple miles in!

First day we walked through this meadow it was nice and clean. A few days later we found this.

Ahh yeah.. What he is not sharing with you is how far down the rabbit hole we went to find that one!!

That was a great Wallow and spot had lots of opportunity I think given time to setup. I just wish we had made that loop earlier in the hunt so we knew how to get in faster.. I recall as we got back up to the road above there we heard "T-Rex" fire off from very close to that wallow, but was too late in day to make a move.

I am still a newby in terms of experience having started hunting 6 years ago but I do hunt both archery and rifle. In that time I have never found a wallow. Then again maybe I did and didn't recognize it. I know what a wallow looks like from pictures, both wet and dry, but not personal experience. Should I look for specific terrain or do most hunters simply stumble upon a wallow?
