Not only that, it is in the area we are hunting this fall! There are 16 of them. 8 cows 6 calves and 2 small bulls, although one of the bulls has neat little droptine stickers opposite his thirds. Do you think they might still be there come Elktember?

I have yet to ever find one! You must be able to see them pretty clear to tell cows from calves and bulls

I've found elk on GE numerous times but have never been able to tell bulls from cows let alone the kind of rack detail you are talking about. Sheesh. You must have SUPER Google Earth. lol
As to your question about them being there in season. I am assuming you are be facetious but in all seriousness...look at the date of the imagery. If it was taken in June....those are not as good of odds as nearer to, or in the season. Rockies can have quite different feeding grounds in June than in the fall.

LOL....you got me. But I certainly wasn't going to flat out say "no way." I'm guessing there might be someone with the resolution to see bulls from cows??? Not with the crummy monitor I have. I thought maybe you had access to some military grade stuff where you could count fleas on them. lol....scary what kind of technology is probably out there!
As far as dates go.....I wouldn't write of July intel. I have seen elk on my game cams in July that were there in late August and September. It depends on where I suppose. You are soooo right though...cool as heck seeing the little maggots on GE!

Now back to Tiggers google earth quality. I wasnt going to mention this, Some might think Im "blowing smoke" but Im sending Swede the pics,.. no coordinates just pics of rubs and elk pellets. Actually Tigger I do believe it is possible to get that kind of data from Google Earth. I see 3 bulls here.... 43* 41' 39.55" 124* 02' 38.88" Click on the picture and there ya go! lol
This is only done in Google Earth! Don't spread this info around though....it is one of my favorite hunting spots!!!

I was looking around at Deen Creek and see there is a good herd at N43* 41' 40.56", W124* 02'13.10" year 2012. Never mind the cops. They hang around to help you skin and pack out.
