Most productive time frame in September?

Anything can happen at any time, but what has been your most productive time frame in September?


I am planning to hunt Sept 10 - 22.

anxious to hear the responses here. I usually try to hunt the ML week (even with archery tackle). this year we're going in the last 2 days of ML and staying through the last week. I'm hoping for big things!

I only hunt ML season, so can't say. However, most locals here in CO,hunt the last week of archery season

I've seen the most elk the opening weekend. I've had the most close-up opportunities the second weekend. I've had the highest quality chances on the biggest bulls as the rut heats up near the end of the season. How's that for an answer? There's no bad time to be in the elk woods.

Yep ... each week has its pluses and minuses. It sounds like my brother in law is going to come hunt with me this year. If he asks me what week I'm going to tell him to come the 11-16 this year. My family has killed a lot of elk on the 11th and 13th in the last lots of years. Just always fun to go
