Waiting for my first elk hunt this fall is driving me crazy. Most of the planning is done now. We've been doing a bunch of online research and scouting (which probably won't end until we actually leave for the trip), talked to a bunch of people who have hunted Colorado in the past for tips and advice, and think we've got a pretty good game plan. With the planning getting slow, I get bored and want to "fine-tune" these plans. I think I've changed which rifle(s) I want to take half a dozen times already. Was everyone else this excited for their first big out of state hunt?

I know how you feel and I don't even have a hunt yet. Hopefully joining this site will
solve that problem. At least I will pick up some good information and tips from the
experienced people on this site.

I'll be on my 7 trip. It get worse and better every year. This year if we get drawn new zone new weapon. Muzzleloader. Jump off Google Earth and jump on a treadmill. Lol
