Looking for new bow

Ok I am in the process of looking for a new bow.
I Owen a Hoyt now that is a 50 to 60 draw weight would like to go to a draw weight of 60 to 70 also would like to pass down my old bow to my son in law so he can go. They do not have a lot since they are just getting there life started ( we all know how that is) I am not in a big hurry right now.
I looked at
Elites ( I feel they are to heavy)
Bow tech ( nice bow but just the way it cut into my hand )
Mathews ( well there nice but the price )
Pse ( I nice bow and lite busy likes his )
I have not looked at hoyt yet ( any suggestions)
Also any good ideas of bow deals around Lakewood wash
I am thinking about buying sometime in April the more I look and get more suggestions by

Not sure which Elite you're looking at, but I went from shooting Hoyt's for 15 years to Elite and never looked back. Couldn't be happier.

Which one do you shoot so maybe I can take another look not sure what one he put in my hand but it fust seems a little heavier then my hoyt

i shoot an ELite Energy 35. best long range bow, i've ever had in my hands. i attribute this to the 35" ATA probably. i love the thing with respect to ease of tuning and things. if i dont shoot for a long time, i can pick it up and settle back into my anchor point super quick. probably because it fits me so well.
but i agree, it is a bit heavy.

all in all, i have hiked a lot with that bow and it never bothers me. could it be lighter? yes of course, but it isnt a deal breaker for me.

i am buying one more bow in my life. i am done chasing the ghost of new bows. what a waste of money..i will buy a new bow to switch over to my left side. and it will be a Hoyt Carbon bow. i love the 34" ATA bow. i want to try yoke tuning in the future.

then take all that money i am not buying new bows with, and go hunting.

Well with that budget you shouldn't have any issues. How often do you plan on shooting? Are you going to be tournaments or just hunting? I always look at it this way. I don't shoot tournaments or anything like that. I like to shoot at least once a month during the off season and use my bow mainly for hunting. I have found that there are plenty mid range bow's that get the the job done and I have saved a few bucks. I personally like Hoyt's and have a turbo hawk(mid range bow), unfortunately it's 27 inch and my draw length is 26. So I have a fairly cheap Bear that I use right now and I shoot really well with it. I have been keeping the Turbo Hawk for a back up but may sell it. Have you shot any of the new hoyts?

I do not shoot tournament I shoot mine maybe once a month when life lets me have the time. Told the wife I am going to start making sure I practice a lot more often. Hunting is the only thing I use it for which I just started about 5 years ago and love it. I have not shot the new Hoyt's yet. Like I said I own a pro hawk now and it's a nice bow. I am hoping this bow I buy might be my last one well at least for ten years

Don't count out MIssion by Mathews. I bought their top of the line Ballistic 2 years ago, paired it with a Tighspot quiver, Trophy Taker drop rest, and a decent sight, and have about $800 total invested. A real nice bow in my opinion. Fast, smooth, and not very heavy.
I've been bowhunting for going on thirty years now and never could bring myself to drop the ridiculous amount ching down on a bow that some of these top mfgers are asking. Most likely never will either.

Phantom16 sorry for late reply been working long hours have not a lot of time to get on the forum. I looked at your bow it does look pretty cool and sounds good. I am going to lucky shot in chahlis here next week. I went there and checked him out and Theodore was very helpful and took the time to tak to me even though I did tell him I was just there looking around. He mentioned that they might start selling Hoyt so if they did I am going to ask to shoot a pse, Hoyt, and a Mathews to see what one I like better. maybe after I get my new bow I can come meet you and u can give me some pointers.

I actually had to send my bow back to Darton and get one with a lighter draw weight. I have some shoulder/neck issues that are affecting how much weight I can pull back this year so had to go with a lighter draw weight. Really liking the bow though. Once I get it back (should be next week), I'm get back to setting it all up (I've got parts laying all over my shop bench). Ya, once you get your new bow, touch base with me if you want to swing out and shoot some arrows. I can get out to around 60 yards on the little range I cleared on my property. I think I'm better at making elk noises than target shooting but maybe we can do a little bit of both if you make it out (elk calling practice and arrow flinging). Good luck on your bow search!

That's why I am leaning to pse cause I did see a pse bow madness at basspro for around 650 and the the pull was 47 to 70 and to funny I am getting ready to have nerve surgery on hands and I am having neck problems too.

Right now you can get the Bow Madness on Camofire for $400. I am not sure that is exactly what you are looking for but the price is great.

I bought a Halon (non 32) on a season ending close out type sale, kind of an impulse buy... After a "getting familiar with" curve and buyers remorse spell, I am pretty happy with it, its fast quite and more accurate than I am. I wish I would have shopped around a little bit, because- Prime. I was shooting 3d the other day and there was a guy there that had a Prime and it was a very very sweet bow.. Super smooth super quite.... I would look hard at the Prime bow. I wish I would have.

Here's another vote for Prime. Was a Hoyt shooter until I tried the Prime's...sold. Solid bows and shoot great. I picked up a 2015 model (still has all the bells and whistles of brand new models) for a song. From the money I saved I was able to get new components and kept the Hoyt as a back up.
