Gear Nuts: Let's see your gear storage system

Lefty's pic in the sleeping pad thread got me thinking about people storing their gear. I laughed when I saw his pile of sleeping pads because I have piles of gear at my house too. So let's see your stuff. Do you keep it on shelves, in crates, hangers or what. When I look at my basement it amazes me that I'm still married.

on a positive note maybe this will motivate me to clean up all of my gear. I have shelves, rubbermade totes and piles...

it's pretty much everywhere in my basement.

On the left side and underneath in that pic is the rest of my stuff.
A friend of mine has a gear room. He is one of those crazy mountain climbers, most of his gear is suspended from the ceiling or hung from the wall.

Those Plano boxes have been around a long time. Most of them were bought online through Walmart $21.00 each with shipping Ive seen them priced up to $45 in some stores. The large Contigo boxes I generally store mine and my wifes good sleeping bags.

If you tell me we need to leave,.. it takes me longer to put my shoes on than load the truck

My trapping gear is stored way different. Lures and baits in those plastic flip lid containers. 1 1/2coils in a wood box,110, 120 conibears in milk crates, 330's wood box, MB in wood box, finshed snares in bucked of different sizes, #2 on 10 chains and drags in plastic buckets.
Gold panning supplies stacked in old wooden cabinet, horse tack,. all hung up

Let's see some pics.

Lefty: it's hard to see but I have 10 or 12 milk crates full of traps in that big wooden box. I keep my lure in a dry box to keep the odor off. I love trapping but rarely get to do it anymore.

Right now, my basement looks like an episode of Hoarders.

VT Sasquatch, those shelves and totes are solid. Where did you get the gray totes? I'm using the cheap Costco totes but the lids crack easily so I need to upgrade.

Hey Husky: Those are Sterilite footlockers and I got them from Walmart for $20 each. I use them a lot. I have a $50 Plano Sportsman's Box and I broke it by standing on it one of the first times using it. Istand on the Steralites all the time with no problem. I keep a couple extra around for pull up camp sites and put them in the wall tent with me. They are a good value for $20 in my opinion. You can get black or gray. I have a mix of both.

I didnt realize how much work trapping was,,.. until I started hunting more.
The last 20 years I havent done much. In Utah I always made a couple sets and late season snares where I duck hunted. Idaho doesnt have fur like Minnesota. Being surround by a reservation I really only have some trapping near home,.. too many people
