Big Agnes Fly Creek Tent

Does any one have a Big Agnes Fly Creek Tent?
I am thinking about getting one, but have read some reviews that say they had condensation issues. Also some say they had issues in heavy rain with water splashing in under the fly. I am trying to cut my pack weight down and with this tent I could lose 2 and half pounds.

If not any recommendations on a tent weight of just over 2 pounds.

Here is the one time I did have a condensation problem. Most 3 seasons type tents will in this situation. Snow was collapsing the rain fly and the heat from inside was causing it. Ive used mine in almost all conditions and its held up great.
I really like the tent, but I have also looked at upgrading to a different style.

Where are you going to be using the tent primarily? Condensation really isn't a huge issue with any tent in the west where humidity is low, even when raining. Condensation will be an issue with most any tent in areas like the south, and Alaska that are wet and humid.

There are double wall and single wall tents. All condense the same. The double wall tents have a layer between you and the condensation so, for the most part, will keep the condensation off of you and your things.

Awesome thanks for the feedback. Jmez I will be using it on Western hunting trips. I thought about humidity being the problem for the condensation, but one guy said everything was fine until it started raining. Wow BrentLaBere I am impressed the tent held up that snow.

one man, or two man?

i have the solo fly creek and it is damn nice. but you need ground you can get a stake into. in the rocks, you will need to think outside the box. in CA, i have no condensation issues. i'm not a huge guy, so i fit.

I am thinking about going with the two man. That way I have enough room to store my pack out of the elements. It only adds a few ounces.

Just take the manufactures capacity number and subtract 1. Most two man shelters are barely big enough for you and your gear.

Being a WA resident I will say condensation can be an issue even if it is not raining. Scouting in WA (1 person in 2 person tent) in Aug and then Sept Idaho (two people in a 8man) hunt this year I noticed on a few mornings that there was condensation inside the tent. It is not just environment, that creates condensation, but as we breath (specially deeply while sleeping) we put out moisture. Smaller the tent the more pronounced it can be. Just something to keep in mind.

I have the UL1. No condensation issues. It is very small, I have to back in to get in and Im not a big guy by any means. The splash up could be a result of staking the fly pullouts too close to the tent. All the same I think the walls of the tub style floor could be higher. Even a slight breeze blows right through when set up with the fly out.
I will be going with a slightly larger tent in the future so this one with a footprint is on the auction block

Thank you guys for all your feed back. I ended up going to REI to check out the big anges fly creek and the rei quater dome. Ended up getting talked into the Outdoor Research Helium Bivy. It weighs 18 ounces and was $169. Between being a little over a pound lighter then the fly creek and over $100 cheaper. It was a no brain once I got to get in it at the store. Always looked at the bivy tents as a no go but it wasn't bad once I got in. This tent alone shaved 4 pounds of my pack weight. I am super happy about that.

After making this purchase I had to go home and add everything up. I am happy to say all my gear with 7 days of food and 3 litters of water I am right at 40 pounds. My pack weight was 65 lbs last archery season. I was able to lose a lot of weight in food and lighter pack, sleeping bag, and tent. Took a couple unnecessary items out as well.
