My neighbor and his sons, a buddy in Minnesota, and this forum are about my only closest connection to archery hunters.
Last night was our ward (church congregation) Christmas activity, social.
My 15 year old neighbor boy walked into the church late in camo, I could tell by his face as he walked towards me he scored big. I immediately looked at his jacket sleeves,.. no blood.
His face was still telling me there was a good story.
He said his shot might have been less than perfect. He showed me pictures of the blood spray he took, them backed out .
I checked at his arrow. Looked like a shot was back,.. but the buck would be dead.
They recovered the buck just a short distance from the stand this morning, .
Dad sent some great pics to me.

A short time later the son sent a couple of pics of dad,.. tears rolling down his face.
While the son was a bit quiet last night about the size of the buck, I thought the boy was underestimating the size.
Just great to be a part of their hunts without physicaly being there.

How great is that 15 years old and a big buck heck it took me 5 years to get one bow hunting and I shot a doe. Good eatin

Here is the younger son with his last years buck, scored 143. Last year dad asked about a mount , maybe the only good advise Ive given him

The buck scored gross 148 and net 144 one point larger than his little brothers buck
