3rd axis for sights

Looking to upgrade to a site that has 3rd axis.. Currently I'm looking at Black Gold Ascent Verdict.. what are you guys running?

I'm partial to my Spot Hogg Hunter. Been using it for years and never had an issue. I've heard good things about the Montana sight too though.

I've got an Ascent Verdict and a Spot Hogg Hogg It and in my opinion you couldn't go wrong with either of them. Both are great sights! I'd give the slight nod to the MBG only because I feel the pins are a little brighter.

i agree. MBG pins are a bit brighter.

the sight itself is not as cleanly machined as a spot hogg, but i didnt care. first time out, i fell in the mud and pushed my MBG ascent into the earth like a cookie cutter. i pulled it out and it was packed with dirt and mudd. i dunked it into a stream after pushing the mud pie out of it. it handled it like a boss. they are very robust.

since this is about 3rd axis, the adjustments on a spot hogg are cooler. you do this see-saw thing with two apposing screws to get the setting right. the Ascent is more of twist and lock.

I have had both. Although the pins might be a bit brighter on the black gold, there is no comparison to the quality & tolerances of the spott hog. Also, You must buy their higher end sights to get third axis adjustment or that's how it used be. Both companies have loyal followers.

let me add: all the adjustments on a spothogg are cool. they all use that pair of opposing screws to see-saw yourself into adjustment. there is no lock. you just tightent both allens down. super cool.

the MBG not as cool, but adjusting a sight is so infrequent for me, i didnt want to pay the weight penalty or the cost penalty. i tend to set mine up and leave it.
