Lost some respect for BPS - open Thanksgiving

Postby JKaboom » 11 15, 2016 •  [Post 1]

I was going through the latest flyer for BPS and see they are open from 8AM to 6PM Thanksgiving Day. I understand that some folks could care less and will work that day. I also understand the opening at 12AM on black Friday for many places etc.

I am a little disappointed about this and this is the type of stuff that made me stop doing business with WalMart 4 years ago (I went over the edge when I saw they were doing a food drive for their employees but don't provide any hours or reasonable wages).

Definitely a scuff mark in my opinion...

As for me and black Friday - 5 years running black Friday fishing - that's one of my favorite fishing days of the year!!

I agree. People need their jobs but they also need their families. it's why we work! I understand the profit margin thing and how big of a day Thanksgiving is for retailers but seriously.... if I was really going to by it today don't you think I'll come back tomorrow or on the weekend and buy it when you are open?

I think they should ask for volunteers. if they don't get enough to open the doors then the people who dedicate themselves the rest of the year have spoken and so be it the doors stay closed for one freakin day right. Don't they want me to be home with my family at the dinner table giving thanks for my awesome job at Bass Pro Shops?????

Guy, I agree with you 100% on this. As for Malwart: I guess my spelling says enough, but I still remember when, not long ago, that they had new hires fill out the paper work to get public assistance so they could have enough just to live on.

Even Black Friday is ridiculous.

I couldnt care less.

Either way. People are sellIng only because people are buying.
Family needs are met if they are shopping together?

I went and caught a movie w my long lost cousins. What about the theater companies?
