Well my name is Todd. I am a regular here and just signed up recently. I have not posted because in comparison to u guys I just need to listen and take it all in. I absolutely love the way there is no arguing on here. I pretty much beleive and take to heart everything said here. ( almost everything) The 2017 season is gonna be my first year to give elk a try again. Some of my absence has been life some kids and I'm good with that as if u don't have family u don't have much. I have tried 4 times to shoot a elk and have not even pulled my bow back once. I spend about 10 days in July in Colorado camping when it gets hot here in Kansas. I have got some elk found in 48 I beleive and I'm gonna start applying for points. My daughter went up on mountain with me this year to look for game and had great time . At one point we were watching elk , sheep and goats. She asked me to take her elk hunting so I'm gonna do it. We're gonna try over the counter until we get enough points. Don't have a clue where we are gonna go. But I do feel like I could be better hunter because of this forum. And I thank u guys for all that. We live in north east Kansas and have a farm were we like to spend a lot time. So thanks for all the info!!!

Thanks for the replies. It's to the point I can't wait to get up in morning to see what's new here. We have some pretty good white tail hunting that should get real good in next few weeks. Got some pretty nice bucks running around. Biggest so far off of the farm is 192. Should be a 190 ish and 3 or 4 160 to 170 ish this year. Should be fun!!

Sounds like some great whitetails, we are lucky to get one in 120's in my area of GA.

I have hunted whitetails all my life and I have never seen a 190" buck on the hoof. Nor a 180"er. or a 170"er. or a 160"er. Man, that would be something to see! Get some pictures up!
