A hunting buddy of mine has one and I have never been too impressed with it, although I have not used one myself, to me it just sounded very one-dimensional in tone and had a yodel type sound to it...just my opinion.

I haven't used the bullet in the woods but did try one.
Im not an elk call expert of any sort and I don't sell for Primos: but nearly every call they make is generally user friendly. A couple of years Eastman was giving away Primos calls with their subscriptions. I have Primos Baffle bugle and their Pack Bugle. Both with the blue diaphragm reed just like the Bullet.
My guess is the call sounds flat because because the caller isnt putting in some voice and working the call. Ive called bulls, well all the bulls ( 10) Ive called that past three seasons were with a blue baffle Primos bugles. But Ive also watched bulls go the other way too
My daughter was getting good ( to my ears anyway) locator bugle after a couple minutes of practice on the Baffle Bugle,

I have one, love the size of it but seems like I can't get the volume I want with it. Maybe it's just me.... I mainly use my reeds and just use the tube because its size.. It works for me for now

They are not loud like most bigger bugles. Someone with a lot more experience will need to answer how important volume could be.

Last year I had two bulls respond well over 600 yards and dow the draws.
Some other fellows watched a bull I called from near them and that was an easy 800 yards.

Maybe volume was the wrong word.... It just seems like I don't get the throaty sound because of the short tube.... I've only used it for two years. It's good enough for me. I like the sound of the bigger bugles but hate carrying them.

The range is defiantly limited
I dont get that old cranky bull raspy sound from any small tube,..
Im dropping back on my goose call making experiences, Materials that calls are made from can vary range;diameters in the throat of the call, sound chamber opening each make a difference.
Currently I haven't used the big bad bull challenging bugle responses.
