It is coming very soon for me. I will be heading to camp on Monday morning. I think I am ready, but who knows. Also are the elk ready for our little rendezvous? I know they look forward to it every year.

That was excellent. And timely, as opening day in Colorado is this Saturday. And it reminds me that the hunt is more about how you feel when you are hunting than the harvest.

Got the camper mostly packed tonight, was up Friday/sat/Sunday last minute scouting. Date night with the wife tomorrow night, celebrating my daughters birthday Wednesday night (her birthday is the 4th but I will be gone still) finishing loading the truck and hooking up to the trailer Thursday night, then pulling out Friday morning around 3:30. Ready for the opener and a 10 day hunt starting Saturday. Finding it hard to sleep this week!

I have to give this a bump, cause tomorrow is my opening day ... Drawing on a hunt sure has its pluses and minuses, it has been a long wait and seeing a lot of my friends that killed during the archery season hasn't helped, but it is finally here!!!
