Montana with a recurve is I progress to the level I feel I need to be...otherwise I will use my compound. If success comes quick I will hunt Colorado also.

Wa archery, but i will likely be hunting a new area that i havent thoroughly scouted yet, as the wolves seem to have had a significant negative impact on my local herd.

Just got the good word today. Im heading up to the arctic in a couple weeks and will be coming home in time to take all of elk archery off. 8-)

Excluding Idaho the total number of hunters in all of the other states combined is still less than Colorado. I'm lovin' it!

I'll be honest....this thread is killing me, I'm in the middle of building a house (should finish in October ) then baby number 3 coming in November...so my out west dreams are squashed this year.....good luck to all u lucky ones heading out!

I'll be leaving for Colorado ( Aug 24th) a few days before the archery season opens there. A day to travel and a couple days to get my " mountain" legs under me. OTC for elk. Maybe this will be the year. What ever happens I'll know it will be a great time in camp. Going with a group, all buddies. Memories to be made for sure!!!
