Thanks Slick. No fire works here. We plan to stay home so it should be relatively safe. Have a great 4th yourself and to all.

Happy Independence Day to WTers.

The months ahead promise all manner of political unpleasantness as we hash out what should come next for this, our "experiment in democracy." Probably gonna get ugly. Expect violence, as evil others try to disrupt our self-determination. We could find ourselves at odds with Americans living beside us. Be reminded of our interdependent past when the question arises, "How will we make it through these conflicts?" Together. Same way we have endured until now.

Well, if you are reading this, we survived the 4th! Lotsa lake time and potlucks. Even threw in a fish fry. Managed to not overeat just too much. Hard to resist a couple of barbecued jalapenos wrapped in bacon with cream cheese though!

I hope you saved the ones you decided to not eat for me! They are one of my favorite combinations! Anyone that has not tried them should!
