Life Size Target Cover

Postby poisonarrow » 02 23, 2016 •  [Post 1]

I sell a life size elk target cover. It is hard to believe the size of an elk until you are close to one. The target gives you a sense of scale. It also has the vitals and bone structure lightly showing. The bone structure is not where you think it is. Most shots are too far back, shoot directly above the leg.

It is very durable. I counted my shots last year and after 1200 shots it was still very usable. I stock elk but can print anything you would like.

Wikipedia is saying bull elk are 4.9 ft high by 8 feet long. How close to life size is the actual elk on the target? I would really like to get a life size target this summer. Thanks
Elk are where you find em...

I have what may seem to be a dumb question but can someone mark on this target where a person would ideally want to shoot if this were a real elk?
my instincts are telling me to shoot to far back I'm thinking!

Google elk anatomy and scroll threw some images. Sweet spot is about a 1/3 up the body following the near side leg.

I have one of these and love it. Made a pvc target stand and set it up in front of may bag target.

Here is a lengthy thread from over on Bowsite that should help.
