Sleeping bags?

What sleeping bags do you guys recommend for elk rifle season that's gonna be packed in on horses? Thanks

I just tried out a friend's teton xl 0 degree bag and it's pretty snazzy. They seem pretty reasonable on price, anybody have one or a teton bag?

Will you be in a heated tent? I dont sleep well on a cot . So I have a better quality pad, self inflating with foam insert all from Cabelas. With a horse packing in gear you can sort of have what is more comfortable.
My wife and I each have a Black Pine bag. I have a Big Jonson rated for -5 My Wife has a Grizzly rated for zero
Both bags have a flannel lining and canvas outer, Mostly because I dont like the feel of synthetics. both bags have hoods which neither of us use so in reality both bags are good to 25-30 degrees. when its colder I will wear a hooded sweat shirt, maybe add a blanket . sub zero a cheapo bag over everything , zip up the bag all the way.
For a solid base camp some guys like a bed-roll type bag.
A good nights sleep is golden

Dan I have the cabelas mountain trapper bag right now that I've been using a few years, it's the 0* bag, what I like about it is the flap on the bottom that when its rolled up it is in somewhat protected from the elements. Whether in the pickup or on the pack saddle. It weighs around 10lbs. And has been very durable for me

Besides a good wall tent,I think a good bed is the most important thing on elk hunting.I have an older Cabelas rectangular bag rated at zero and a canvas cowboy bed roll. I also used an single inflatable air bed which pumps up with a Coleman pump run by 4 D size batteries . The important thing here is to have a blanket between the bag and the air bed,to soak up any body moisture given off during the night.Then make sure to turn your bag back during theday for that to dry out.
