Wyoming Region G

Postby Bolt » 05 20, 2016 •  [Post 1]

I'm heading to Wyoming in July to do a little scouting/family trip going out with Double Diamond Outfitter for the day to get a little info on the area and hopefully put a plan together for years to come. Has anyone hunted the area or used Double Diamond before? I'm not looking for your honey hole just some general area info.

I've hunted a couple hundred square miles in that area. There are multiple elk and deer nits and I assume you are planning to hunt deer since you mention the region. Do you have deer points? You'll need about 5 to draw the deer tag. It's a general area for elk though. I know a half dozen outfitters in and around there but never heard of Double Diamond.

If you are ever interested in purchasing a DIY hunting plan in that part of the state let me know. I have some good ones there for elk and mule deer.

Thanks for the note, I'm still buying points each year for deer as I'm told it does take 4 or 5
This trip will be for elk, my friend and I are DIY hunters but a little tribal knowledge is good to have so I'm going to pick the guides brain on a full day ride.
