Alpine Touch Montana Special :-)

Phantom was drooling when we were on the phone and I could barely make out what he was saying. But I think the jest of it was "This stuff is the bomb. Give it a try and you'll be thanking me"

So today joined the wife grocery shopping. First time in like 3 to 5 years. She doesn't hike the mountains with me and pack my groceries to the truck so why should I right? The look on her budget minded face was priceless when I picked up these two babies. Her eyebrows raised a little. She said something like "If you did the shopping on a regular basis you wouldn't be buying those" I sad "Yes, I would, and that's why I don't do the grocery shopping on an even semi regular basis" and I chucked them in the cart.

So here goes Rory. They are already rubbed down with a bit of olive oil and seasoned with the Alpine Touch Montana Special and a bit of my two standbys. They'll sit in the fridge wrapped in Saran wrap until I get home tomorrow and fire up the grill. First time this year.

Hmmm, what do they say about great minds? I can't remember cuz I don't have one. What was I saying? Oh yeah, it's a bit ironic that I just threw a couple of medium tatos in to bake (dang Mrs. Phantom didn't pick up any big bakers this week for some reason) and..... am gonna burn a big old cow rib eye on the grill in a bit using what kind of seasoning? I'll be using the old stand by "All Purpose Blend" Alpine Touch this evening although I've been really liking Chad's newest blend "Hickory Smoke" which is the one Joe is posing by his steaks. Both are very, very good and all the wife and I have used on meat for many, many years. Good stuff folks... really, really good stuff. The SB Cheesecake for desert sounds really good

It is rare that I buy a steak at the grocery store. I live on elk. But I'm running low. Plus every once in awhile it's nice to buy meat where no animals were harmed to make it unlike hunting where we have to be mean.

Now I have to try the All Purpose Blend. Dammit Phantom if I can't make it up the mountain this fall to kill my elk it will be your fault! I'm going to cover it in Portobello mushrooms so that makes it health food right?

Hey guys, I didn't know that stuff would be great on a beef steak too. I thought it was for game, maybe a chicken or casserole. Maybe I should remind my wife they still have beef steaks in the grocery stores.
She won't let me come even close to the ole meat department in the supermarket. I go and read car and hunting magazines while she shops. I broke my pick with her a long time ago when I was still allowed to shop a little. I didn't pay attention to the price or ingredients.

BTW: Do they have beef steaks that are totally fat free?

I don't know Swede but they don't have high country meadow grass fed hormone/antibiotic free steaks that come with Euro mounts.

I probably I won't be getting a good beef steak anytime in the near future. Never mind the hormones or antibiotics. She does not waste her time explaining that much about why I am not getting any T-bone. Her degree is in micro-biology. She knows I am too ignorant to comprehend. She can show me fat and say, "bad".

I'm would quite working if I didn't get a steak once in a while. Camping season is coming soon.

As the winner of the famous Phantom Alpine Touch give away, were we just have to say " I'm in " I thought I would put in a good word for Alpine. It came in the mail super fast, that night we made chicken dumpling soup and I thought I would give it try, very very impressed. I have tried Alpine on ribs, beef hamburgers, elk burgers, steak, chicken, everything and it was all very good. But one of my favorite is french fries. Try some you won't be disappointed.

I agree Friday. The Alpine Touch seasoning is good stuff. I am partly kidding about my wife not buying us steaks. The truth is we get enough meat with the game I kill plus salmon, or a chicken we buy once n awhile. The Alpine Touch Montana seasoning works great with all of them.
