Rain gear

I am looking for some lightweight, packable rain gear. Last year, I tried the light frog toggs and the pants ripped after a 1/2 mile. I prefer camo. Any suggestions?

At the top end of the price range - Kuiu or First Lite are about as good as it gets. I'd imagine Sitka has a set that's just as good, but don't know their gear as well.

Core4 Torrent. Light, durable, pretty breathable, fairly quiet. Good pockets, cuffs, hems, hood, venting zips. 1 lb, packs in its own pocket, which fits in my pants cargo pocket. Torrent jacket is my preferred outer layer in Sept; rain or shine, wind or snow squalls in CO.

I'm using the First Lite Stormtight jacket and Kryptek Koldo rain pants. I didn't choose this set for any particular reason than they had good reviews and were on sale. I've sat on snow and wet ground with the Koldo's, no leaks or issues. The FL jacket worked well in a couple light rain showers.

If you're on a budget, I've heard good things about the Cabela's Spacerain stuff, and I've had good luck with the Bass Pro branded rain gear. You just want to make sure they have ventilation.
