Shooting with a quiver attached

How many of you shoot with an attached quiver versus a hip quiver? I'm currently a hip quiver guy because of where/how I hunt. I'm guessing that bow quiver is better when you have to spend so much time walking after elk.

Bow mounted quiver me.

Haven't really tried a hip mounted quiver. Just practice with it on and you will hardly notice it is there. Most of them can be "quick detached" if you are setup in a tree or ground blind, if you prefer that.

Always a bow mounted quiver for me. I've hunted with some guys that had a hip mounts and they had trouble going through the brush with them in the elk woods/brush. Cat quivers (back mounted quivers) used to be pretty popular but I always wondered if you had to take your pack/quiver off to get an arrow when you needed it?

I shoot with quiver attached. I use a two piece that stays attached to the bow.

Attached for me as well. Easier to maneuver and even though the weight isn't a lot, it gives me a little extra balance (which is probably mental)!

i tried to hunt with a hip quiver and have had success while hunting NM mule deer. Then i went and tried NM Elk and the low brush and trees made it to noisy for me so i switched to a bow mounted style. when i get to a place to sit for a while i just detach it and it sits next to me. Just my .02 cents worth.

Attached for me too whether I'm shooting compound or longbow! I shoot the Tightspot & really like it a lot!

Use a backpack quiver. Similar to the old cat quivers. Never have liked a quiver on my bow. No problem getting a second arrow if you need too.

I always found for me an attached changed my poi too much after each arrow. I now use a pack with safari tuff arrow quiver setup I have put together for me.

I almost always use a bow mounted quiver. I have a hip quiver, as a spare. I have had no issues with shooting the bow quiver, but remove it in my stand if wind is a factor.

Quiver attached here. I tried shooting my bow both ways just out of curiousity and saw a minor change in poi.
But with a pack and other gear the last thing I want is another thing hanging off my belt, or having to stop and pull quiver off my pack and carry it by hand if I drop the pack to stalk in on something quietly. I also tend to protect my bow when going thru brush, under limbs, or over downed trees. I think a quiver on my pack or side would tend to get banged around. Much simpler for me to be bow mounted and tune bow for that.

We even go to the point of when we do "cold bore" 1st shot do it with one arrow missing from quiver so everything is balance exactly like it will be on that cool Sept morning when screaming a 5x5 steps out from behind the brush and it is go time.
