New Pup

I guess she qualifies as "gear" since I'll be using her to find birds but here's a pic of my 8 week old GSP. She's a holy terror right now.

If i could have a dog thats exactly what id get, a female gsp. Had a lot of dogs growing up, but the gsp was hands down the best. Very smart dog, great temper, seemed to just instinctively know how to behave, listen without ever really being trained. She did seem to get a little neurotic about pointing the chickens in her old age though. Im talking all damn day

No doubt, I have an 8yo female GSP that will sit under a tree in my backyard all day just waiting for the squirrel to come down or stare at a rabbit hole in wait. They are great dogs and a fantastic training partner for elk season.

Awesome pup! I have a soft spot for GSPs, hunted w 3 over the years. One trip I brought my rescued Vizsla along. He imitated the trained GSPs, was pointing and retrieving birds the 1st day. It was in the blood. Had the great pleasure of hunting over one of those original GSPs and his newer dog partner last November, brought back great memories of my V, who has crossed the bridge. The more people I meet, the better I like dogs.

She's getting bigger and is pretty smart. She's figured out the doggie door the first day and almost housebroken. My 8yo GSP is starting to tolerate her in small doses and before long they'll be buddies.




My 8yo on a much deserved hiking break from the pup. Drifts were almost 6' tall.
