Lining up a peep sight

Hi Guys: I recently bought a used bow. I am trying to get it set up for me and was wondering about positioning a peep sight. When I bought the bow, the peep was an inch or more higher than I like it. I have it where I want it now and will use serving thread to anchor it in place. My question is how high the pins should be (estimate of course) compared to the peep. I assume that the pin(s) should be roughly level with the peep when the peep is in a drawn position?

This may be a dumb question but I am thinking the sight line should be roughly level at least for the top pin. Is this correct?

Move the sight down the same amount for starters

Hard to say as your anchor is going to effect this as well.

Get a big target, aim for the middle at ten yards and then go from there.

I have it tied in but I live in an urban area so I haven't gotten to shoot it yet.

I am looking forward to taking some shots. I really don't know how to tune a bow but I don't have an archery shop nearby so I am going to try my hand at it. I put a knock loop on too and I am ready to test it out when I can get to our cabin. I'll probably get some time next weekend.

I am a newbie when it comes to archery, but I have noticed that there are some great videos on youtube regarding how to tune a bow. Some are bow-specific as well, which is great if you can find one for your bow.

Thanks. That's how I figured out the peep sight and the nocking loop. I'll have to look for more vids.
