Where do you shoot?

A neighbor set up the hay loft in an old barn as his family range. Another buddy only shoots at the archery clubs indoor range.
My daughters and I have a target ,.. in front of the neighbors wheat field.
Where do you shoot, back yard?

I have a range set up below house on my property that I can shoot out to 70 yards if desired. Hope I can come up with that kind of setup if/when Mrs. Phantom and I move to the Gem State Not sure how much property we'll end up with in ID. It's all about "the house" for the big boss, so, my desires of having seven zillion acres will probably not fly.

Back yard. Opens onto the S. Platte River - undeveloped natural area.

A buddy of mine was practicing in his backyard, which has an 8 foot privacy fence, within the city limits. He accidentally hit the trigger on the release as he was drawing, and sent a broadhead into the neighborhood airspace.

45 min. later, he noticed a police officer walking around the neighborhood. He went out and confessed his mistake. Turns out his arrow went through a neighbors window, and buried itself in a closet door 12 inches above an empty baby cradle.

The neighbors were surprisingly understanding, and let him off with an apology and repairing the damage himself. The police gave him a ticket for unlawful discharge of a bow in the city limits. 500 bucks.

I shoot in the back yard which is 25 yards. Also have unlimited space in the back nursery of our landscape company. Living room during Winter months otherwise occasionally I head to the range.

I have an area where I shoot in the back yard, I can get an 80 yard shot from a tree platform or 60 yards from the ground. I have a creek that is my property line and then a very steep hill behind it that will stop any missed arrows quickly.

My only problem is my anti hunting neighbor that calls the cops anytime I practice shooting which is everyday from March-November and 2-3 times a week during winter.

Needless to say I know our game officers very well and he's becoming known with them as well but in a not so friendly way. He's been cited for false reporting and arrested for harassment of wildlife multiple times, he thinks throwing fire crackers at the deer to scare them away from hunters is doing a good thing.

My basement at 7 yards where I focus on the fundamentals. There's an outdoor range I go to along with a 5 spot match at Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear.

In SW CO Springs there is a free archery range, max of 25 yds, in Bear Creek Park. Cheyenne Mtn State Park has a 3D range, that requires a state parks pass.

I can shoot up to 60 yards in my back yard. If I go over to my dads house he has a pretty steep hill on his property that gives me a 45 yard shot uphill and down. If I really want to air things out I have a key to our range at work and I can shoot up to 100 yards. Plus the range has a high sand berm to catch misses.

I've got 8 acres at the house with timber and a bit of elevation as well as another 37 with some timber and a pond. I could set up a pretty good shooting range.

While we are on the topic...I have been contemplating for some time starting an archery/gun shop complete with an indoor 3D range. If there were a good indoor 3D range in your area (20 miles +-) would you frequent it?

Buddies back yard. Can go out to 80 if you keep everyone in the house. He's a great guy and my kids spend a lot of their summer at his place shooting, and hanging out with his grandkids. I feel eternally grateful to have such a refuge in this hectic world.

Front yard. live in a rural area so I just open the garage door and shoot out to 60 yards.

Backyard for me, though I escape to phantom private reserve range when possible. Max 70yrds, currently set @20 to start off.

Off the porch, under the tree, nothing but boiler room...

I shoot in my back yard, 25yd max. When I want to shoot farther when the season gets closer I go in the field behind my subdivision where I can shoot as far as I dare. I usually shoot 50-100 arrows a day in 5-6 sessions throughout the day.

local club in the winter, my back yard out to 150yds in the summer and a new 3D course just 10min from my driveway. ( I was sad when I learned a range was being built that close to me last yr. )

i can shoot 20 yards in the front yard, and up to 100 yards in the field next to the house. i have ground stakes out to 60 yards as that is my current limitation.
