2016 Elk hunt planning

Postby Dr. Rx » 01 04, 2016 •  [Post 1]

Ok

Last season was my first Elk hunt and I must say it was great.. Never got a shot off, let alone hear or seen the beast.. but I'm hooked for life.. So here is my dilemma..

I'm applying for Wyoming, but as history shows, more than likely will not get drawn with zero points  ...

So.. Sept. 10th thru the Sept 20th is my golden date.. Where would you apply for and go for Archery? :?:

Thanks

Kris :D

PS Feel free to PM me with any suggestions.. Open to all options.

Idaho or Montana. You'll get a tag. Do your research and you'll get into singers. The rest is up to you.

Yep... Montana. The Wyoming draw results are out by February 25th which gives you about 3 weeks until the Montana application deadline.

Apply for Wyoming's Special draw as a first choice and you should do ok.

Good advice for MT or WY but don't forget NM. Its a true lottery and you'd have great (20%+) odds on some good "opportunity" type hunts. Good luck!
