Colorado unit 76

Looking to draw a Colorado unit 76 1st rifle elk tag in the next couple years...have 14 preference points. This is a one and done hunt due to the amount of points required. Anyone hunt the Rio Grande Reservoir area within the last 2-3 years? Curious to hear how the burn areas are doing versus the non-burn areas. Also interested in horse rental in this area. I have already talked with Sombrero. Feel free to PM . Appreciate any help!

I cannot help you within the last 2-3 years, but I hunted it 5 years ago. I would be happy to tell you what I know. Yes, we hunted by the RGR. I shot a nice bull there.
