I don't know about these characters. I will wait until we see what kind of prizes they have for the big contests. I can always tell the quality of a moderator by the prizes they offer.

Ya Swede, I'm not so sure about them either. One of them (I'll let you guess which one) issued me, ME, a formal warning using using his newly acquired MOD permissions. Why? Well, I guess because he could and was stretching his MOD legs  With great power comes great responsibility; I'll keep an eye on them ;). Seriously, they'll both do great, along with David (Trophyhill). Both Dennis (Lefty) and Joe (Indian Summer) are great guys, have been with this forum since the beginning, and are both completely vested in the continued growth and success of our elk discussion campfire.

I forgot about that. Those qualities would seem to be important too. Best wishes to all. :D

I'll pick you up in the lear jet for the annual corporate hunt.

I'll use this thread to say one thing. I spent many hours on the phone and even more in messages talking to Paul about this site back in the beginning. Paul's thing was for everyone to get along. No negativity. I admit I laughed at first since this is the internet. Then I remember after several months I sent him a message that said wow I think we are going to pull it off. It's amazing to me really. That has brought many a lurker out of the shadows after they see it's safe to poke their head up without getting shot which is really cool. Let's keep that going!

I also talked with Rory a lot. The thing we had in common other than you know what was that we were both very dedicated to this site. I'm not a forum junkie. The only other site I go on regularly is Bowsite simply because I have tons of friends from all over the country on there. It's where Paul and I met. Also it is truly a heck of a source of information. But you do need to wear a helmet sometimes over there. Works for me too because I really enjoy some good sarcastic humor and there's a never ending supply. lol

Anyway Rory is a great guy to pass the torch on to. He has a few tweeks coming up all of which I really like. Nothing too major. I look forward to helping out when I can. Maybe I'll send a few more sponsors over or even get him one of those buffalo hats with the horns you know like the Grand Poobah. Let me know when you need the routing number for direct deposit............. boss.
