Hunting Method of Choice, 2015 with Poll

OK, I redid this one. After Swede noted that it would be interesting to see what "weapon" you cats used (or will use in hunts this year) for the hunting methods mentioned in the poll, I thought I'd redo this one. Sooooo campers, what was (or will be if you're just getting ready to head out) your primary method of elk hunting this year? Please chime in on the thread with a quick post saying something like "groundblind/archery, or spot and stalk/rifle". Thanks for playing along. Just curious as to what everybody used (or plans on using) "primarily" for their 2015 wapiti hunt(s).

Primarily calling (run and gun)/Archery for me.

Calling is my #1,then spot and stalk#2.

My hearing is shot so calling unfortunately isn't the greatest.

I picked other because I can't pick 2. Spot and stalk early and late in the day and still hunting SLOWLY mid day.

I chose Run & Gun as #-1 But I do incorporate treestand/ground blind as well as Spot & Stalk & Calling! I Gotta be versatile in the elkwoods! (grin)

I did a little calling, but as usual, most of my time was in a tree silently waiting.

Run and gun looking for a bugle. Started with rifle than Stick and string 3 years ago, next year is muzzle loader

Calling is the most fun for me. Also the most effective.

My second choice is sitting passes/trails/pinch points/wallows. But I do not use a treestand or ground blind. This is not nearly as exciting - but conserves energy and still gives a chance at a high probability shot opportunity.

I seem to do better when the Elk is moving and I am stationary rather than the other way around.
