So a few years back I purchased a meat pack from a dude on ebay, the price was reasonable but I hadn't used it.
This season used it twice and while it worked well I was wondering what others use to clean them up.
I did quickly wash with soap and water but now back home, there is a lot of residual smell which prob indicates some moisture or bacteria. Before I go and spray it with a bleach/water solution does anyone have any other products they prefer? Not sure of the material but looks like typical strap webbing and a hip belt with padding.

Took mine to the car wash after dropping off the meat to the butcher.

Hot soapy water,leave it in the hot sun for a few days. Store it in a place where there is good air circulation preferably a carport or garage. Not under your bed.

I soak it in a big tub of soapy water. I use laundry detergent. After the overnight soak I brush all the bad spots. Plus the pad in the back and all belts and straps. Then I jet wash it with my garden hose nozzle. Hand dry. So far so good.

I use detergent and a splash of bleach in the bathtub, then dry in the sun.

I use hydrogen peroxide first. It breaks down the blood really well. I then use the hose to rinse, followed by washing with dish soap. Hang dry for several days.
