Last Minute Bull!

Clayton (joeh2o) of the ElkNut Crew has taken a nice 6X7 Bull, he took this bull 2nd day before the close of the season, great job bud! That's 4 bulls of 5 of us, we're having another great year! These guys hunt hard here, they aren't just lucky every year! (grin) Clayton congrats, it's well earned bud!

what a whopper of a stud. ID looks like an awesome place to hunt elk, you guys all have had some great stories and some awesome bulls. I am not saying colorado doesnt have some toads, its just hard to find those big guys on public land past say the first week of the hunt, at least in my units. love seeing others around me being successful, because when you immerse yourself in successful people you too will become successful.

Clayton deserves a bull near the road, though im suprised because he puts out seirous time way off the road.

Thanks guys! And yes that is a road in the background, but this bull has made me hike and hike and hike my ass off over the last couple years. He drug me over the top the weekend before (and that wasn't the first time he's made me hike to the top 5500' at the road to 7800' at the top) I got lucky and caught him way down low early in the morning. I cow called him away from his cows at least 150-200 yards. he left a small bench that his cows were on and came down the hill to gather me up. Felt pretty good to finally connect with a bull that I had so much history with.
