wall tents

Postby powderhogg01 » 09 18, 2015 •  [Post 1]

Has anyone sewn their own wall tent. It is something I have been thinking about for a while. I am fairly handy with a needle and thread and would possibly like to try my hand at making my own wall tent. I am looking for a 12x12 or perhaps a bit bigger.

Dude that canvas is thick stuff. You need the proper sewing machine to make a tent. If you did it by hand there would be nothing left of your fingers from pushing the needle through.

I actually have an old foot powered sewing machine that was built for leather work. I can get all the canvas I need for about 200 bucks. With that said the tent shop guys do have some great kits available.
