Exchanging my Sawtooth A-Tag (IDAHO)

Hello,

I am heading down to Idaho F&G headquarters today to exchange my Sawtooth A-Tag. Reason for exchange is because my buddy/hunting partner was not able to buy his tag in time. This zone has a quota of 560 tags. I was able to buy mine early in the morning they went on sale. The tags sold out by 2 pm that day, and my buddy was on an overnight rafting trip and wasn't even back to civilization until after 7 pm.

Everything should work out well for us. My dad will actually be able to join us, and we decided on an area where he used to live/hunt so we should be good.

I'm posting this in hopes that someone can pick up this tag if they want it. I am not sure of Fish and Games policy and how they re-issue these, but I will try to get a direct phone number and contact name when I make the exchange. I'll then post that info in this thread so someone can pick it up.

Good opportunity for anyone who was not able to buy a tag before they sold out. Also could be good for anyone who hunts in N. Idaho and will possibly be smoked out due to the fires.

Like I said, will try to get contact info and post when I leave their office.

Apparently, the only way to assign the tag I'm exchanging to someone is to have them physically there with you when you exchange.

Tag is exchanged - whoever is next on the waiting list should be excited.

Dang... I would've arranged something... what station you take it to?

I took it to headquarters near downtown Boise - it was closer to go there than the regional office in Nampa.

Yeah bummer, he called as soon as they opened - there was a wait list so it got handed to the first person automatically.
