In search of....excuses

Just in time for the start of our seasons, I thought it might be important to keep in mind a fresh list of excuses as to why we didnt get an elk. So please chime in with any excuses you can think of, whether it has happened to you or not!

1. My hunting partner snores and I couldn't sleep all night so I was too tired to shoot accurately.
2. My hunting partner smells so bad, the elk smelled him/her.
3. The bull was sooo big, I thought he was at 20 yards and he was really at 150 yards.
4. A HUGE dragonfly swooped down and my arrow hit it and deflected.

The sun, wind, rain, dust, snow, solar flare was in my eyes. I couldn't get the safety off...my bow.
