sitka mountain pants

My girlfriend just got me some sitka mountain pants in open country optifade. I would not normally get high dollar gear so I am pumped. Anyone else wearing these? thought?

I have a pair of them and they work great! They dry fast and the knee pads work well also. They feel like you have nothing on at all if you are wearing your buck naked underwear with them!

I don't have the moutain pant, but two pair of the sitka assent pant,can't go wrong with sitka,they make a quality product,and worth the big$$$.

gotta love a perceptive woman, she saw me oogling them in a magazine.. went out and got them. I just about only hunt the timberline ridges and valleys of colorado and utah so having some gear that is specifically driven for that area success is huge. I am gong to wear them out scouting tomorrow, see how the perform first hand.

yay!! my wife bought me a sitka jacket..now i need her to buy me a smaller one..hahha..she isnt getting the hint the second time around.

she really is a saint.. she says "why do you like that digital camo.. it looks so fake" I am like to you yes.. but your not a Mule deer. after watching some of the videos on the camo pattern now she is like.. if I get you a jacket will you bring home more steaks.. uh.. yes of course I will.. duh!!!

Well am I can't be sure what kind of elk you might kill this fall but I do know your girlfriend is a keeper!

I love my Mountain Pants. Essentially they are the Sitka Timberlines with the addition of the waterproof seat and knees plus kneepads. You'll be surprised what a difference the flexibility makes in a day of elk hunting. It really is like hunting naked. lol

If I were you I would start sitting on the couch looking at the Sitka Jetstream jacket next brother.

I was thinking the same thing, indian,exept the 90% jacket,LOL.Can't go wrong with any of their jackets.

Instead of a 90% jacket I decided to get two jackets for different purposes. The 90% is too warm for really hot bow hunting and not warm enough to sit on top of a ridge in a howling wind later in the season.

I have the Ascent for warmer weather. It's the lightest they make. Then I have the Jetstream for colder weather. The Mountain Pants and that Jetstream are my favorites. The Jetstream has a hood which can be priceless as well as really long pit zips to let heat and perspiration out.... which is always necessary at some point when elk hunting.

If it gets really cold I'll put a Kelvin vest under that and I'm good for some darn low temps then after adding gloves a neck gaiter and one of two hats... baseball cap or Stormy Kromer.

Sounds like a great pant ,jacket combo,and I agree about the hood also.Looking forward to trying the new fanatic hoody, and the kelvin lite hoody.I just have sept. elk hunting,and no wind,so my application is a little different,but I also love the pit zips in my 90%,and the kelvin vest is always in my pack.Also looking forward to merino base and mid layers.
