Coolers?

No, not like in the Roadhouse movie, lol. I'm a big fan of Coleman Extreme coolers. I've kept block ice and contents in them for close to a week before. What do you cats like for top notch coolers?

I have an Engel that I really like. Been flirting with the idea of buying a Canyon Cooler. Made in Flagstaff, Az. I will have an Engel, a Yeti, and a Pelican in elk camp with me.

I also use the colman extreme coolers, just picked up another one, now have three.Nice and big,didn't have to take out a second mort.(yeti) and they work great.

I have a huge plastic cargo box from Walmart. For most trips it has tarps, cooking stove, saw, tools, misc. camping and hunting gear. It rides on the hitch hauler rack behind my vehicle. When I have meat, I line it w a folded tent tarp and sleeping bags, put 4 well-cooled bone-in quarters in it w gallon jugs of ice, insulate the top, put on the lid, and head for the locker plant. The stuff that was in the box goes in the back of the vehicle.

i use a big white ultra igloo. it works awesome..BUT, i have lost count on how many hinges and latches i have bought.

shopping "extreme" coolers these days, there are so many companies!! so many!! at elk camp we have yeti, engel, brute and grizzly..and they all rock!! the engel seems the most streamline..smooth, easy to wipe down the outside. downside, they are all heavy has heck. empty!! loaded they are a two man operation.

I like the fridge and freezer in the camper best. I have an igloo for the back of the quad when roughing it, it kept food( meat, eggs and etc. plus some beers cold for 3-4 days before having to get supplies from the camper.

I can't complain about my Yeti. Having said that, I might try a Grizzly or an Orca next.

I almost bought a Yeti but just can't bring myself to drop 4 bones on a cooler. I'm not knocking their quality as I'm sure it's there but I just can't do it so I'm going to Cabela's and picking up a Coleman Marine Extreme tomorrow to replace an old ragged cheap Coleman I have. The money saved will go towards my optics budget.

check out the new orion coolers. they are made by the jackson kayak company. they are rumored to keep ice 1-2 days longer than yeti. i dont have one but they sure look great. price is comparable to yeti. im still running two canyon coolers. on past elk trip we all had 2 canyon, one yeti, and one igloo max cold. after 11 days in back country we came home to ice remaining in one cooler. all coolers were packed in block and crushed ice mixed to capacity. the only thing that could have made a difference is the max cold was the largest and only cooler with ice remaining after 11 days in the shade at 11500ft in late sept and this was the year that it rained everyday for two weeks and flooded in colorado

I use Coleman and Bison coolers. I love the bison coolers. Awesome customer service and warranty also.

Check out RTIC coolers. Look like yeti copies at half the cost.

I just bought a Coleman Extreme 200 quart. My plan is have this full of meat on the way home from Colorado next month. Will the cooler hold a full processed elk?
