Cots for camp????

Looking at cots and reviews on Amazon. Lots of campers breaking there cot. $50 dollar cots or less seem to break. $75 dollar cots will break. $100 dollars for a cot seem to much but then I am 250lbs. Davis Tent makes a cot and video of the cot that is over the top........$105. What is everybody using?

I've had great luck with the Cabelas Alaskan guide cots. Very sturdy and you can get em less than $100 when on sale

Also for the alaskan guide cot.Very comfy with the cot pad,and no,it would take a lot to break this cot!!

I also use the Alaskan guide cot. Very well built and it would be tough to break. I think I paid a $100 for it on sale at Cabelas.

Looked at Cabelas for cots. Man, they sell a lot of cots well over $100 bucks, some even $300 big ones. Davis Tent and Awning videos on their cot is very honest. A must see video.

Cabela's Outfitter XL cot for me. I've had it for the past 6 or 7 years and it's worked great. Their foam cot pad is excellent and a must. Heck, I lived on mine for two weeks before my furniture arrived when I moved to CO.

Cabelas Alaskan guide regular size. I think it is 32" wide and a memory foam mattress topper from Walmart 2" thick. Take a cheap flat sheet and cover it. If you buy a king size you can probably cut it to get 2 pads or 1 thick one.

The outfitter xl is a big cot,nice and wide.I just picked up the new cot tree, and also the old style cot tree on sale for 12.00.I had cloths laying all over the tent last year,the trees will make camp life a little better.

i bought that one from REI.

it is super sturdy, but i cannot recommend it. the cushion part is too soft so at the end of the night, it is bowled out like a "nest" and makes my back sore. i still use it, but i put one of those big camper pads on it to make it more rigid.

it is so much more comfortable to sleep elevated. the simple move of swinging your feet off the edge of a bed is so much more comfy that climbing off of a floor. haha. my buddy as the Cabelas one. it is super rigid and strong. it is like a real bed..i bet you could get "lucky" in it and it wont break.

I just purchased a roll time cot too. Picked it up from Campmor. They usually have 20% off 1 item and free shipping so it was the best deal on it I could find. I have not slept in it yet but set it up and laid on it for a few minutes. Sturdy construction, kind of light at 11 pounds compared to some of the steel versions at 20 pounds, and very comfortable. It has a feature where you can adjust the tension of the fabric for a more or less firmness. My review was enough for my buddy to order 1 the following week.

I picked up two of these for $5.00 this summer at a garage sale. I can't wait to have them in elk camp this year!

Another vote for the Cabelas Alaskan Guide. Like mine and not sure how you would break one. Got mine on a doorbuster sale for less than $100.

Ditto. Roll-A-Cot makes excellent cots and tables as well. The Cabela's are ok but holy heck are they bulky and heavy.

The Roll-A-Cot will support 250 pounds for sure. Just don't run from the front door across the tent and do a flying belly smacker into it but then again what cot could handle that right?

I can tell you that every single outfitter up and down the west side of Montana uses them and obviously they get some big boys in camp. It's all I own. Campmor is an excellent site but I always check eBay. Also Outfitters Supply carries them as well as lots of other nice back country gear.
