I've got one that I carry on all of my trips, but my trip out west is going to be the longest one I've ever been on...I'm actually looking at getting another one. Just curious what ya'll use.

I have been searching for an external battery for my CPAP which uses a lot juice. jump on eBay
if your car or truck doesn't have anything the backpacking batteries are quite expensive a simple inverter or converter to your car battery plug into your cigarette plug orPowerPoint can be bought for 10 to 70 dollars.
I'm buying a big pick up battery for my CPAP with the hope that it will run my CPAP 5 days straight but could power most electronics for a year

I've got a Jackery Giant+. I don't know if that will work for a CPAP, but it seems to work well for cell phones, tablets, etc.

A good sized deep cycle marine battery is your best bet. I bought a moderate sized deep cycle battery, and charge it via the generator after three nights of use. My charger says that it is about 50% at that point. That is with the humidifier on. Yeah, I could run it for 5 days probably, but that's a bit further than I want to run a batter down that I want to last long-term.

And for the OP, my big 85lb+ marine battery works great for charging the phone each night. But, I suppose you are looking for something a bit lighter. Perhaps you could get more targeted advice if we knew what your needs are. Packing in away from the truck for multiple days? How many days? How much do you rely on phone, etc. Otherwise, the obvious answer is a car charger.

Looked at those...the issue I had was the solar part. Bad weather could damage the unit. I wanted something I could use in any weather.

I spoke with a fellow last week who uses a solar charger designed to sit in his windshield that he uses for his laptop. Spoke with another fellow pulling a trailer behind his Harley; He uses a $1200 Tesla battery for his electronics
There are some panels any weather isnt a problem. A company here in Pocatello sells a 12 volt panel system that he sales rep stated you can drive over it ,... but its $750.
I had been looking at a solar fence charger but they are $500

I was looking at these for our scout troop and didnt purchase this lantern because it charges small electronics. With the solar panal this might be a fit

I just picked up a solar charger from aspect solar,sold on camofire for 65.00,more than half off.Nice unit,should work just fine for phone,go pro.
