Solo Muzzleloader CO units 44,45,47,444 HELP

I just moved to Colorado this year and drew a bull tag for Units 44,45,47 and 444. The original plan was to have my father join me on this hunt but just so happens he can't make it and everyone i work with is hunting a different unit. Any advice, places to go, tips or anything would be much appreciated. I did scout around units 44 and 45 twice already and couldn't find much no trails or tracks granted i did not get of the trail much due to the family being with me. I hope someone with more experience or that lives in that area could give me any advice at all. This will be my first solo trip out in elk country and i know it will be a challenge but i will do anything to get an elk on the ground. Thanks in advance if you post on this topic.

I believe most of those units are in Holy Cross Wilderness. Never hunted there but I've heard that its a good area in mid to late September. Make sure you get the calling down. Good Luck!

You could try the Colbey Park area above Woody Creek in unit 47. It's a big area with a lot of old logging roads and quite a few options. Gets a lot of pressure in rifle seasons, but I think you could find some nice areas to hunt during September. Good luck
