Hot Tent

I am planning on using a hot tent this year for archery. (Middle of Sept). I know it is probably not necessary, but if I am going solo, I think it will give me something to do as well as keep me dry and warm. The stove itself is from Lite Outdoors and weights 2# 8 ounces. The teepee weighs 25 ounces. I am mostly geared for super lightweight spike camping so can afford the weight of the teepee. Had my first burn in tonight on the stove. After 2 hours the fire was out and the teepee was still warm. I think that is good enough for me. Is anyone else using a stove this archery season?

You bet,last year was the first year with a stove,and it was great.Most mornings are below freezing where im at,and makes life much more comfortable.Also, if it rains for three days, you wont have to pack up because everything is wet.Looks like an awesome spike camp setup!!!! Lite!!

Being warm makes for a better hunt. Looks like a nice stove.
On a rifle hunt in Montana we woke to -18 and was -23 when I left camp,.. My nephews ddint get out of their bags until the inside of the tent was 60 degrees

It was too warm last year for me to use the stove but they're nice to have. This year I may have to use it if the weather keeps doing what it's doing. Make sure you have a good stockpile of wood, mine burns through it fast.

Still need to get my stove jack cut, but I've got the option if I need it this year...

Almost had to check to see if my SL-5 was still in my basement. Who's nest are you using? I'm running a Seek Outside in mine.

Yea I put those on during "burn" trials in backyard. Used snap hooks and 6 link ball swivels. Seems to work fine so far. Also keeps stack stable.
Still using the sl-5 nest, just pulled it back and staked it off
