Thanks Mark. I had 16 preference points as a resident. I have not personally hunted the unit, but my parents both have multiple times...so I've scouted the unit quite a bit. My mom will be hunting 1st rifle cow in 61 and my dad got his 61 rifle bear tag as well. It is definitely a really fun unit to be in during the rut.

Wish I was living in Montrose over the summer to scout, but my dad will end up putting in a lot of scouting time for me. Lives in Montrose and is retired...so ill have a pretty good head start when I get back.

Its a good year to draw though with all the moisture on the plateau..should be some great antler growth ! Have you hunted 61 before?

Once again I got all my tags and will be spending 65 straight days this year in my wall tent.... Antelope with archery, Rifle Bear Tag, Archery Either Sex Deer, Archery Either Sex Elk, 1st Season Cow Rifle, Then staying through 2nd rifle Season to help my Girlfriend get her Bull along with my son who hasn't decided if he wants his "A" Tag to be either sex archery or a 2nd Rifle season Bull tag yet... Going to be an exciting year for me and my crew...
