Packing a bow??

I'm looking for a way to carry my bow in to and out of prime hunting territory. I know most want their bow readily available at all times, but I am slowly recovering from a bad sciatic nerve episode and won't be fully recovered come September. I will need to use two trekking poles most, if not all of the time. So, I would like suggestions for easily carrying my bow until I get in to elk or at least close to them.

You can get a pack with straps to hold it or look into a bow sling I saw a post a week or so about them on one of the fourms here It is titled bow sling and was started by kesler10.

I use a kifaru gun bearer to hold the bottom limb pocket, and then a quick release strap to my shoulder strap. Keeps the bow under my left arm leaving it easily accessible but both hands free.

Many times I will have my bow attached to back of my pack in or out from hunting. It is secured by the 2 compression straps that most packs have on the outside of them. It only takes seconds to put on or take off.
