Montana Black Gold Sights

Postby Deafirishman » 05 09, 2015 •  [Post 1]

A while back, Friday had posted a thread about Montana Black Gold sights and I am looking into purchasing one but requesting more input on these sights. Which MBG style do you recommend and if it's custom made, what size pins and color do you use ? I know it's a personal preference on custom made sights but I just want to get a feel for what people use.

Thank you all for your input and it's much appreciated.

I have two different Black Gold sights and love them both. A Rush and a Surge. All are 7 pins and I have them stacked as follows
red .19, green .19 and then the rest are Green .1. I see green better so that is why I went with them. The red is 20 yrds on one bow and 25 on the other. My goal is to be in the "red zone" before I release, but that doesn't always happen..
Get out earlier, go farther, stay longer..KEEP HAMMERING

Thanks for the information. I ended up ordering the MBG Ascent custom made 5 pin sight with a 4" dovetail this morning. First 3 pins are .19 and the last 2 are .10. I have never used a dovetail before so this will all be new to me. For spending that kind of money on a sight, I sure hope it's all worth it
