FYI... we have a Gear Forum for non hunting related subjects. No big deal. It's just that this forum gets jammed up and when you click on others they are dead.

No I would definitely NOT want a glass window on my hunting stove. Maybe on one at home in the living room.

No I don't cook on my stove. But I do keep things warm on it. Remember when you get back from hunting you will be wore out big time. It takes quite awhile to get a good enough bed of coals going to heat the stove evenly and cook on it.

I envision you sitting there in a plaid bath robe watching the fire with a glass of merlot while your dinner brews on the oven. The reality is you walk in.. eat a Mountain House....and pass out.... sometimes with your clothes still on!

I too use the stove more for warming foods or keeping coffee hot. You could cook on it in a pinch & if you had the time so it's a nice back-up to have if ones camp stove went on the brink! (grin)
