Trailcam SD card reader

What do you guys use to read your SD cards while in the field? Last year I tried using my camera and the trail cam would not record any pictures after the day I used it.

Same thing happened to me. Messed up the formatting on the card. I hate to say it but I take my laptop and plug it into the cam and download everything to view them. PITA!

Im using a Bushnell trail cam and a cheap Canon Power shot,.. works well

Anyone have a reader for their phone?

Not sure what you did but I always format my card in the trail cam when I set it up. If you format the card in your camera or computer most of the time the trail cam won't record pictures after until you format it in the trail cam. I also use Bushnell trail cams and view them with a camera.

I use the same setup as Lefty and agree that it works just fine. I've tried a card reader with my phone, my iPhone 4S was not powerful enough to read a 16 GB card (even at 100% battery), I'm not sure about the newer phones. My iPad did work with the card reader, but its quicker to scroll through the photos on my camera, plus the camera takes up less space and costs less to replace.

I did format the card with my trail cam too. Maybe the difference is it's a Moultree camera and not a Bushnell. The pictures would be fine but it's just would not record pictures after I checked it.

Had the same issue, and I just swapped cameras till I found another point and shoot around the house that would read it.

I bought a 2 pack of SD cards when I bought my Primos camera. I just swap the cards out at the camera then review them on my laptop when I get home. Seems to work the best when I format the cards each time I put one in the camera.

my garmin gps for my truck has a card reader, works great. I have 2 cards for all my cams though!
