Knives Of Alaska

I've not heard of them? But a member here "redtop" makes some pretty awesome knives that I have the privilege of owning. Do the Alaskan knives resemble this one? Just curious?

Who the heck never heard of Knives of Alaska??? (grin)

They are very good knives. The big cleaver is really heavy. Their steel is really hard like Buck Knives. That means they take time to sharpen but hold an edge. I give their knives 2 thumbs up.

Im thinking about getting the brown bear cleaver and a alpha wolf just wondering what you guys thought of them i was sold after watching my brother whip thru an antelope and a bear last yr with the cleaver and cub i was pretty damn impressed the cleaver is bad ass

That cleaver is pretty much like a high class hatchet. You can chop through bone, wood whatever with it. But make no mistake that bad boy is HEAVY. You wouldn't want to pack it around every day while elk hunting in the mountains. Besides.. you don't need to. A hatchet isn't really a field dressing necessity.

you could skin out a whole bull with the brown bear cleaver seen a bear get rugged out with it
