Good luck folks. If I don't draw, I hope it goes to one of you.

because I'm taking the family to FL and I got refunded airline mile on this CC statement, enough to cover WY and NM apps. Easier to swallow and get past the WIFE.

I'm seriously thinking going the same route - we'll find out in 2 weeks from today. If all of my apps and friends' app skunk out, then it is off to learn about CO OTC. But I guess that is just part of the journey in learning how to hunt these guys.

The bad news; my friends and I didn't draw for NM GMU 34 and unit 16 like we put in for for Elk rifle hunts. :(
The good news; I drew for an archery deer tag in unit 34. ;)
The great news: I drew in the Valle Caldera National Preserve lottery for a late November Antlerless rifle hunt. :o Second time in three years.

Lets hope I get to harvest my first animal ever this year, or even two (one deer one elk) to fill the freezer.
I am hoping this year my friend Dave will be able to help me on the hunts, two years ago he got caught up in the .gov shutdown and had no vacation he could burn on my little adventure.
