Utah Muzzleloader LE Dates, 3 days added

Postby shanescottoutfitting » 01 27, 2015 •  [Post 1]

Just FYI. Utah added 3 days to the limited entry muzzleloader elk season making it a 12 day rut hunt Sept 21-Oct 2. Smoker season for a big bull!

Shane, welcome to the ElkNut Forum! Glad to have you here as a sponsor! What does something like a MZ elk hunt cost & do you do any archery hunts? Thanks.

Thanks for the greetings. We guide rifle, muzzleloader and archery. Getting a Utah tag is the obstacle but it can be done. My hunts can range from $2500 on up depending on the client needs, tag, dates, # of guides etc. SS

I thought I would share with you Brent's Utah Fillmore Pahvant Late Bull we took in 2013. We had a great hunt and took this 350 class bull on day 3. 3 shots at 410 yards with a 300 WSM and 180 Nosler Accubonds. He was pretty happy about the results. It was a fun hunt. SS

Sorry about the rant. So which units do you cover? And do you do any drop camp hunts and do you use stock?

I cover all of Utah's units except the cache units.
I dont see Utah making any changes to the archery hunts. I think they will always cater
To the rifle hunters.
The last 10 days of the archery can be pretty good especially on monroe And pahvant.
