"less" expensive hunting/hiking pants. Eddie Bauer Guide

Postby pointysticks » 11 30, 2014 •  [Post 1]

i just braved the shopping insanity to venture into Downtown San Francisco. Why? to find the Eddie Bauer store. i heard about the Guide pants from other outdoor forums, and wanted to try them for myself. WOW!!!

sure they are not camo colored..but Gray is pretty decent. perfect turkey hunting. backpacking, rifle hunting..etc. they are VERY similar to a pair of KUIU attack pants. lighter. not as thick. not as thin as their lightweight Timberon pants..maybe in between the two. these things are currently 40% off and that makes them the best deal EVER for a pair of outdoor pants. i got their last pair in my size, or i would have bought two. $50

if i had to call it a color, i say they match Kifaru's foilage color. really close. i dont think i need full camo for most of my hunting so these should fill the niche perfectly. i love them. i will wear them in sonoma for my hog bowhunts. i love stopping by some wineries and food joints..be nice not to be wearing camo..haha.

Awesome. I'll check them out. Although it appears they aren't quite as cheap now. But I do want to go sans camo this year.

the only test so far: i wore them 4-5 days straight in tokyo. it was rainy the entire time, my jeans were worthless. they looked great the entire time..no smells. food spills, i just followed up with a wipe down and let the wet spot dry..done.

these will hump the AZ desert with me monday..let's see how the cactus treats them.
