how do you post a video?

Postby Kevrod3 » 12 07, 2014 •  [Post 1]

I would like to share my hunt with you guys, but I'm terrible in the computer department! As soon as I shot my elk I picked up my camera and videoed everything that transpired after that! Needless to say it took almost an hour to put my hands on him after the shot, however we never lost sight of him once during that whole time. SO... I wont run the whole hour, but I would like to share some of the shorter video's I have with you guys. Please, I'm looking for a step by step process... I truly am ignorant when it comes to computers! I ask my 9 year old most of my computer questions! :D

Kevin, the best way is to post a VID here is by using Youtube and copying the link. Just go to the site, join if not already a members, and follow the instructions. Once you've uploaded your VID from your PC to Youtube, there will be a link created that you'll see in the text bar on top of the page. You'll copy everything (all the characters) after the "v=" you see in the link. Now, create your thread/post here and click the youtube box above. You'll see [youtube][youtube] pop up in your post. Once you see that, you'll take those characters (essentialy the link to your VID on Youtube) and paste them inbetween the inside brackets.. Then click preview and you should see your VID in the post. If you have trouble with this, get a hold of me via PM and we'll get you going. RJ
