Kuiu Packs

Anyone have one? I was looking at the Ultra 6000 with the carbon fiber frame. Love the idea of only having a 3lb 9oz. pack instead of my cabela's external frame 5700cu. which is over 10lbs empty. Thoughts?

I like the fact I can leave the frame at camp and just use my pack off the cabela's so its kind of like a day pack. It has the extra shoulder straps on the pack, unlike other systems cabela's has that can't be removed from the frame.

Not sure I want to lug around a 6000 cu in pack as a day back though... Ideas?

I own the Ultra 3000 and the Icon Pro 5200. BUY THE PRO 5200!!! The extra padding, organization, better material, and the power pulls are well worth it. I hauled out two elk and a mule deer with mine this year. Trust me, you will be thrilled with the Icon Pro!!!

Kevin, for equal dollars spent I'd seriously consider the Exo Pack. I checked out the video on the functions of the 5200 & it's not the cats meow so to speak for a dual purpose pack, meat hauling/all day hunts or bivy hunts. It has some nice features but lacks in the meat hauling dept, it's very limited area.

I have an ultra 6000 I just picked up. I love the pack. Only wish it had another 1-2 inches of torso adjustment but that's only because I am 6'5". The pack is well thought out and constructed. I have put 50 lbs in it and hike a bit trying to see if I could manage the torso. Even with it not being quit sized right for me I found the pack fairly comfortable. Still on the fence as to if I am keeping it or not.
